The Environmental Clearance Certificate is required for the seasonal operation of Trails Camp, an existing low-impact tented tourism campsite located within Onguma Nature Reserve. The campsite is established within a previously disturbed cattle post area that has been developed for campsite use and includes existing supporting infrastructure such as ablution facilities, septic and drainage systems, borehole water supply, and solar power installation. Operations are seasonal, occurring annually between April and September, and involve temporary tented accommodation and guided nature trail activities. The activity will remain confined to the existing developed campsite footprint of approximately 1 hectare, with no additional permanent construction, land clearing, or expansion beyond the established site.
