251111006653 - THE ENVIRONMENTAL SCOPING ASSESSMENT FOR THE PROPOSED ESTABLISHMENT OF 7 TOWNSHIP IN THE TOWN OF USAKOS , ERONGO REGION NAMIBIA

As the population of Usakos continues to grow, the need for spatial expansion and improved infrastructure has become increasingly urgent. To address this demand, the Usakos Town Council (hereinafter referred to as the Proponent in this document) has proposed To establish 7 Township in the in Usakos namely Extension 1, extension 2 , extention 3 , industrial area, clinic extension bus extension and the BO-Dorp subdivivision area in the town of Usakos in the Erongo region . This development aims to provide adequate residential, industrial, and service-related spaces to accommodate the town’s projected growth and to stimulate socio-economic development in the area.

• Proof of Newspaper advertisement, once a week for two consecutive weeks in at least two newspapers circulated widely in Namibia
• Proof of written notice to the owners and occupiers of land adjacent to the site where the activity is or is to be undertaken or to any alternative site
• Proof of written notice to the local authority council, regional council and traditional authority, in which the site or alternative site is situated; and consent obtained
• Copies of the minutes of any meetings held by the proponent with interested and affected parties and other role players which record the views of the participants
• Copies of any representations, objections and comments received in connection with the application or the scoping report
