The Late Estate Gideon Bailey hereinafter referred to as the proponent, owns an existing Fuel Service Station located on Erf 150, Rehoboth Block B Proper. The Fuel Service Station has been operational for sometimes now but does not have a valid Environmental Clearance Certificate in place. The proponent intends to adhere to the Environmental Management Act, 07 of 2007 as well standards and regulations related to soil, groundwater, and air quality by mitigating risks from construction and operations, such as fuel spills, waste generation, and fire hazards. Since the Service Station is already in existence, an Environmental Management Plan (EMP) was deemed sufficient to enable the competent authority in making a decision on the ECC application. The
