251118006691 - ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT (EIA) FOR THE PROPOSED INDUSTRIAL MINERALS, DIMENSION STONE, BASE AND RARE METALS, INDUSTRIAL MINERALS, AND PRECIOUS METALS EXPLORATION ACTIVTIES ON EXCLUSIVE PROSPECTING LICENSE No.10019

In order to fulfil the requirements of the EMA and its 2012 EIA Hushimi Quarrying Services CC appointed SS Consultants CC, an independent Environ-mental Consultant to conduct an Environmental Scoping Assessment (ESA), inclusive of public consultation for the proposed exploration activities on EPL 10019 in Erongo Region. The proponent wishes to apply and obtain an Environmental clearance, this clearance will allow exploration work on the Exclusive Prospecting License (EPL) No. 10019. The primary interest will be to seek for nuclear fuels, dimension stone, base, rare, precious metals and industrial minerals, mineral groups within the license area. Under the 2012 Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Regulations of the Environmental Management Act (EMA) (Act No. 7 of 2007) the Government has made a list of projects which need an environmental clearance like mining, and etc.

• Proof of written notice to the owners and occupiers of land adjacent to the site where the activity is or is to be undertaken or to any alternative site
• Proof of written notice to the local authority council, regional council and traditional authority, in which the site or alternative site is situated; and consent obtained
• Proof of written notice to any other organ of state having jurisdiction in respect of any aspect of the activity;
• Copies of the minutes of any meetings held by the proponent with interested and affected parties and other role players which record the views of the participants
• Copies of any representations, objections and comments received in connection with the application or the scoping report
