TVC was granted with an ECC for the construction, operation, and management of the dumpsite in 2018. The dumpsite is located within the TVC townlands, ±5km north of the D3616 road leading to Onesi from Tsandi. The site is used for the disposal of general household waste originating from houses, institutions, and businesses around town. The site is not gazetted for disposal of hazardous waste, hence all hazardous waste i.e., asbestos, waste oil, etc. generated in town is not allowed. There is no record of hazardous waste collected within town or disposed at the dumpsite during the reporting period.
