Bonya Exploration (Pty) Ltd, hereinafter referred to as the proponent, holds mineral rights under Exclusive Prospective Licence (EPL) 6691 hereinafter referred to as the study area, located about 80 km southwest of Aus in Kharas region. EPL 6691 is registered for the following commodity groups: base and rare metals, dimension stones, industrial minerals, precious metals, precious stones, and semi-precious stones. Bonya Exploration (Pty) Ltd was issued with an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) for ongoing exploration and mining activities on EPL 6691, Lüderitz District, Kharas region. Although EPL 6691 has an extent of 68,966 ha, the proposed exploration and mining activities will be concentrated on an area measuring about 9 km2 (3x3km) or 900 ha around the Twyfelskupje Carbonatite Complex. The proponent intends to continue with the exploration activities and commence with the mining activities on EPL 6691. The first ECC was issued was issued on 2022-08-15 and is expired on 2025-08-15.
