250829006326 - THE APPLICATION FOR THE ENVIRONMENTAL CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE FOR THE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF AN EXISTING VON BACH BOOSTER 1 – OTJIHAVERA ELECTRICAL RETICULATION SYSTEM.

Under the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) section 27 the activity described as “energy distribution, transmission and generation” requires an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) as it is a listed activity. NamPower would therefore like to apply for the ECC for the operation and maintenance of the Von Bach Booster 1 – Otjihavera reticulation and associated infrastructures to comply with the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations. The Von Bach Booster 1 - Otjihavera Reticulation route runs eastwards and north eastwards from the Von Bach Booster 1 Substation to farms between Windhoek and Okahandja in Khomas and Otjozondjupa regions. The Von Bach Booster 1 - Otjihavera electrical reticulation system has a total length of 16.4 km and is constructed with wooden pole structures.
