250829006324 - THE APPLICATION FOR THE ENVIRONMENTAL CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE FOR THE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF AN EXISTING VON BACH BASE – OSONA ELECTRICAL RETICULATION SYSTEM.

Under the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) section 27 the activity described as “energy distribution, transmission and generation” requires an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) as it is a listed activity. NamPower would therefore like to apply for the ECC for the operation and maintenance of the Von Bach Base – Osona reticulation and associated infrastructures to comply with the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations. The Von Bach Base - Osona Reticulation route runs westwards from the Von Bach Booster to Plot No 55, with various supply points including farms in the general Osona area in Otjozondjupa region. The Von Bach Base - Osona electrical reticulation system has a total length of 52 km, and it constructed with wooden pole structures.
