250829006321 - THE APPLICATION FOR THE ENVIRONMENTAL CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE FOR THE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF AN EXISTING WITVLEI – WITVLEI FARMERS ELECTRICAL RETICULATION SYSTEM.

Under the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) section 27 the activity described as “energy distribution, transmission and generation” requires an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) as it is a listed activity. NamPower would therefore like to apply for the ECC for the operation and maintenance Witvlei – Witvlei Farmers Reticulation and associated infrastructures to comply with the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations. The Witvlei - Witvlei Farmers Reticulation route runs westwards from Witvlei Substation with many supply points including NamWater boreholes and various farms in the general Witvlei area in Omaheke region. The Witvlei - Witvlei Farmers electrical reticulation system has a total length of 46 km and is constructed with wooden pole structures.
