250827006307 - Environmental Impact Assessment for construction and operation of the proposed new Omburu-Omaruru medium voltage overhead line reroute

The proposed construction and operation of a new Omburu-Omaruru 44kV overhead line (OHL) re-route which will be approximately 10 km from Omburu NamPower Station to Omaruru Intake Station for approximately 10 km located within Omaruru townlands. Construction of facilities for energy transmission and supply of electricity is a listed activity that may not be undertaken without an Environmental Clearance Certificate in terms of the Environmental Management Act, 7 of 2007 and its Regulations. Activity 1(b): Energy generation, transmission and storage activities.

Commenting of the public on this project will expire at 12h00 on the 2025-09-15

• Copies of the minutes of any meetings held by the proponent with interested and affected parties and other role players which record the views of the participants
• Copies of any representations, objections and comments received in connection with the application or the scoping report
