Under the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) section 27 the activity described as “energy distribution, transmission and generation” requires an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) as it is a listed activity. NamPower would therefore like to apply for the issue ECC for Otjivero – Otjivero and associated infrastructures to comply with the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations. The Otjivero - Otjivero Reticulation route runs north westwards from the Otjivero Substation to the Omitara Nampower T/Off, with various supply points including Omitara settlement buildings and farms along the route in the Otjozondjupa region. The Otjivero - Otjivero electrical reticulation system has a total length of 111 km and it has towers constructed with wooden pole structures. This ECC includes Astra Repeater Station
