250819006270 - THE APPLICATION FOR THE ENVIRONMENTAL CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE FOR THE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF AN EXISTING LEUTWEIN – OMEYA ELECTRICAL RETICULATION SYSTEM.

Under the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) section 27 the activity described as “energy distribution, transmission and generation” requires an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) as it is a listed activity. NamPower would therefore like to apply for the issue ECC for Leutwein – Omeya and associated infrastructures to comply with the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations. The Leutwein - Omeya Reticulation route runs westwards from the Leutwein Substation to the Omeya Metering Station and then northwards to Aus View Estate, with T-Offs servicing various farms and farm estates in the general Omeya area in Khomas region. The Leutwein - Omeya electrical reticulation system has a total length of 67.4 km and it has towers constructed with wooden pole structures.
