250724006168 - Application for an Environmental Clearance Certificate for the Continued Operation of the Existing Fuel Installations at Agra Auas Valley, Windhoek, Khomas Region

Vivo Energy Namibia was founded in October 2012 after acquiring Shell’s downstream operations in Namibia. As a Shell Licensee, the company supplies fuel and lubricants to retail and commercial markets, supporting key industries like transport, construction, mining, and agriculture. Since its inception, the retail business has nearly doubled in size, solidifying its position as a market leader. One such retail client is Agra, located at Auas Valley in Windhoek. Agra, formed in 1980, is an entity rooted in agriculture and consider themselves as the preferred destination for the Namibian farmer as well as non-farming retail and wholesale clients, by offering quality products at reasonable prices backed by trusted advice and excellent client service, including fueling services for their, largely farming community, customers. In terms of the Environmental Management Act 7 of 2007 (Government Notice No. 29), certain activities may not be undertaken without an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC). VIVO Energy Namibia (Pty) Ltd aims to ensure that all their clients and facilities are compliant with the relevant environmental and industry legislation. It is against this background that VIVO Energy Namibia (Pty) Ltd as the supplier and owner of the fuel installations at Agra Auas Valley has appointed Environam Consultants Trading (ECT) to undertake the process of applying for the ECC on their behalf.
