250717006142 - THE APPLICATION FOR THE ENVIRONMENTAL CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE FOR THE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF AN EXISTING OMAERE – DORSLAND ELECTRICAL RETICULATION SYSTEM.

Under the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) section 27 the activity described as “energy distribution, transmission and generation” requires an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) as it is a listed activity. NamPower would therefore like to apply for the issue ECC for Omaere – Dorsland and associated infrastructures to comply with the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations. The Omaere - Dorsland Reticulation route runs north-westwards and southwards from Omaere Substation with many T/Off lines to various farms and other supply points in the area to the east of Gobabis in Omaheke region. The Omaere - Dorsland electrical reticulation system has a total length of 412.9 km and it has towers constructed with wooden pole structures.
