250717006141 - THE APPLICATION FOR THE ENVIRONMENTAL CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE FOR THE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF AN EXISTING OMAERE – BUITEPOS AND OMAERE - KROONSTER ELECTRICAL RETICULATION SYSTEM INCLUDING OTHER ASSOCIATED INFRASTRUCTURES.

Under the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) section 27 the activity described as “energy distribution, transmission and generation” requires an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) as it is a listed activity. NamPower would therefore like to apply for the issue of an ECC for Omaere – Buitepos and Omaere – Kroonster Reticulation System including other associated Infrastructures to comply with the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations. This electrical reticulation system run from Omaere Substation towards Buitepos area and Kroonster area in Omaheke Region. This ECC includes Heimat Isolating Station. The Omaere - Buitepos – Kroonster electrical reticulation system has a total length 521.8 km and is constructed with wooden pole structures.
