230328001203 - THE APPLICATION TO RENEW THE ENVIRONEMTAL CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE FOR THE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF ANIXAS POWER STATION IN ERONGO REGION

Under the Environmental Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) section 27 the activity described as “energy generation” requires an Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) as it is a listed activity. In 2019 NamPower obtained the Environmental Clearance Certificate for the Operation of Anixas 22.5 MW Power station. NamPower would like to apply for the renewal of the ECC for the operation of Anixas 22.5 MW Power station in order to comply to the Management Act (Act 7 of 2007) and its regulations.
